The Shaking Has Begun

[Heb 12:27 MSG]  The phrase “one last shaking” means a thorough housecleaning, getting rid of all the historical and religious junk so that the unshakable essentials stand clear and uncluttered.

[1 Peter 4:17 MSG]  It’s judgment time for Christians. We’re first in line. If it starts with us, think what it’s going to be like for those who refuse God’s Message!

[Matthew 24:4-11 MSG]
[4]  Jesus said, “Watch out for doomsday deceivers.
[5]  Many leaders are going to show up with forged identities, claiming, ‘I am Christ, the Messiah.’ They will deceive a lot of people.
[6]  When reports come in of wars and rumored wars, keep your head and don’t panic. This is routine history; this is no sign of the end.
[7]  Nation will fight nation and ruler fight ruler, over and over. Famines and earthquakes will occur in various places.
[8]  This is nothing compared to what is coming.
[9]  “They are going to throw you to the wolves and kill you, everyone hating you because you carry my name.
[10]  And then, going from bad to worse, it will be dog-eat-dog, everyone at each other’s throat, everyone hating each other.
[11]  “In the confusion, lying preachers will come forward and deceive a lot of people.

Unless you have been living in the wilderness with no access to the outside world you must admit that we are living in a chaotic time around the world.  It seems like the world has been turned on it’s head.

Norms no longer hold true in governmental ruling, financial markets, and every type of relationship that you may find yourself in.

The church world is in shambles and from the outside looking in it would seem it has lost the power of it’s influence.  Preachers in the pulpit are preaching what they feel will gain them members and from members great financial gain.  One could ask the question, is there any true faith left in the  pulpit or in the pew?

Christians have somehow swallowed the bait that they should expect their governments to protect, even though Christ warned us the opposite will happen.  Laying  up treasures here in this life believing that when one has great wealth one is blessed of God.  Sorry, wrong answer!

I am old enough to remember the shaking that happened in the late 1980’s.  God exposed the very rot found within the pulpits of America.

North America once experienced a great revival across all boundaries, rich, poor, white, black, in the beginning of the twentieth century.  It all began in a small prayer meeting on a street in urban Los Angeles, Azusa  Street.

The Azusa Street Revival was a historic Pentecostal revival meeting that took place in Los Angeles, California and is the origin of the Pentecostal movement. It was led by William J. Seymour, an African American preacher. It began with a meeting on April 9, 1906, and its legacy extends to the present day. (Wikipedia)

This revival reach into every corner of North America, then around the world.  There was no fancy preaching, music, money raising, just Christians on the knees asking God for a revival of souls.

I am not a person who works with hammer and nails, to be truthful I cannot draw a straight line.  Even in school I was useless in what was called shop class.  Nothing was squared, nails bent, wood finish would be dangerous to your skin.

However, I do know that if you are going to build a house the first thing you have to do is put in a proper solid foundation.  Without it the house will crumble at the very first storm to come it’s way.

It is the same with our horizontal relationships also.  Without a proper foundation marriages fail, families fall apart.

Our vertical relationship between ourselves and God also must have a solid foundation.  One that will stand when false teachings come our way, and even when we have to walk through a dark valley.  This foundation begins with our knowledge of God’s Word.

As I look out into the world of churches I see a generation who is not interested in solid teaching, but rather just make me feel good.

Congregations no longer have the prayer room for they have replaced it with the board room.  The moving of the Spirit of God has been replaced with music that makes you tap your feet.  There is no place for the altar where people can pray and seek the face of God, but in it’s place a theater stage.

I can almost hear the critics telling me I am out of touch.  I do not believe I am, I am just a person who has known a move of God in my life.  One that knows God’s Word, but yet willing to declare that I am still in the learning stage.

For North America I am not quite sure if there will be one last move of God before we see Christ coming in the clouds of glory to put His’ feet on the Mount of Olives.

This is the beginning of the time of great shaking, and everything that can be shaken will be shaken.  It will expose those things that are not founded on a solid foundation, Christ Jesus.

It’s time to stop putting our trust in those things that are made of man and begin to turn our focus towards God.  Time to plant God’s Word within our being so that we are prepared for those things that are coming on this earth.
