advise-answer-arrow-208494.jpgLet’s be honest, none of us, including those in ministry, know all the answers.  If one is asked a question it is not a sign of stupidity to say, “I do not have the answer”.

In the last month I have started to write multiple articles only to hit the delete button.

Pastors are put into a high pedestal for everyone believes that they should be able to answer all things.  This can be dangerous for a pastor, for in his congregation there are not robots, but, people in very different situations, and or, their spiritual understanding.

There were times when I was a pastor that I would have a message prepared for the evening service only to set it aside grab the white board and just have a time of questions and comments.  I would try to make it a session that even the younger children could get involved and most of the time they did.  One young man in the congregation asked a question about man and why God would allow us to sin.  My answer, God did not make us to be robots but gave all mankind the freedom of choice.  It wasn’t long that I was answering all the questions, but the people began to converse with each other.  That evening was one of the most memorable in my experience.

If you have listened to any news broadcast whether main stream or cable you are aware there are many issues that will leave you with questions.  You will, if you are like me, ask God what is happening in this world.  You are left with the thought that the world is becoming unhinged.

So, at this time and this place I can tell you I just don’t have an answer, but just the opposite, questions.  So I keep on searching and praying looking for a message to write about.

Maybe, I will feel a leading to some scripture the expound upon.  I invite you to send me your comments, questions.  You may be the one that may have the question most have, but, are to fearful to ask, thinking it may look like they are weak.

The Absolutes Of The Christian Faith: #3 – The Person, Christ Jesus

Special Commentary:

I believe that there are some doctrines that cannot be debated.  Trinity, Virgin Birth, Death, Burial, Resurrection, Heaven.

When I was active in ministry I held myself to one standard, that I needed to bring forth the Word so that all those who were listening was able to take the message and apply it to everyday life.

There is a need for ministers to bring forth the Word that will quench all those who are thirsty, to feed the hungry soul and draw them closer to God through the anointing.  Preachers need to shake themselves and cast off the fluff, self -esteem, prosperity and those things which do not edify those sitting in the seats of the sanctuary.  If they cannot then step down so God can fill the pulpits with a man or woman who knows how to bring forth the Word without fear of what man will say.  This is not a popularity contest, we here to fill Heaven not buildings.  Man must get of the way, so that God can get in the way.  Man must decrease so that the Spirit of God can increase. Preacher, this is not about you, it is about the Person, Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 9  KJV
6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

This subject should be without debate is the over-riding conerstone of all those who claim the name “Christian”.

My concern and reason for writing these past posts is that I believe the generation that is coming of age do not have the foundational truths about what the term “Christian” and what it means to be a Christian.

There seems to be a shift in what is the message of the Gospel.  Now voices are becoming large in society claiming there are many ways to God and to Heaven.  Of course, we should nunderstand the only way is through the blood of Christ Jesus which was shed on a cross on old Golgatha over two thousand years ago outside the city of Jerusalem.

Hebrews 9:22 MSG
22  Moses said to the people, “This is the blood of the covenant God has established with you.” Practically everything in a will hinges on a death. That’s why blood, the evidence of death, is used so much in our tradition, especially regarding forgiveness of sins.

There is an over abundance of prophecies in the Old Testament through the prophets of God concerning the birth and arrival of Christ, the Prince of Peace, Counsellor.  There is no other man past, present, or future who can forgive us of our transgressions and sins.  All voices teaching otherwise are nothing more than a false prophet, teacher.

The message of Christ and the Gospel is not only to be announced on one day of the year, it needs to be sounded every day, month, year, until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ when He shall place His foot on the Mount of Olives.  He will not come as a babe in a manger this time, He will come as the Lion of Judah, the General of the armies of Heaven.  We will know He is the one by the stripes on His back, the nail scars on His hands and also on His feet.
