Coming To Terms

I think people are always going to say things about you or disapprove of your relationships or your ideals or your beliefs or something, but I think you have to stand up and stay strong in who you are and not let it affect you.  Kirstin Maldonado

When I first started having issues with my mental health it started me on the road of learning who I was, what I was, and what I wanted to become.

I left active ministry due to the fact that I could no longer agree deep down what I was taught all of my life.  I could no longer stand in judgement of those who may not see things the way I do.

For example; I heard all of my life that if you smoked you would be sent to hell.  Sorry, I no longer believe that, yes, it will get you to wherever faster because science tells us of the consequences to our personal health.

Being a gossip in my own personal opinion is far more damaging, not to you, but to all those who you may gossip about. No, being a gossip is not the unforgivable sin.

I have been on this journey of coming to terms about myself for over two decades and I have a lot more road to travel.

So, as I write more posts for this simple blog, be patient with me for I am still coming to terms with myself!

  1. Always being a work in progress is the best thing you can do for yourself in this life. I don’t believe there’s an age that you suddenly have everything figured out. You should always be learning! So, I appreciate reading this because it’s a reminder that there’s always work to be done.

    1. V, I heard someone say, I believe it was a comedian, “the older I get the less I know”!
      So, true.
I saw on a lady’s fridge that said, “please move out while you think you know it all”. She was talking to her children.
