  1. I found that when my panic attacks got to an all time high, I couldn’t just walk away from it. I had to breath carefully because I would start to hyperventilate very quickly. I remember coming out of them sometimes curled up in a corner rocking with tears streaming down my face. Other times I would come back to reality sitting calmly and completely numb like I blocked it all out to protect myself from whatever thoughts were racing through my mind.

      1. It was while I was in treatment in 2004 that I began to grasp on how to breath during panic attacks.
        I still don’t do well in a car. Not sure why but I think it is because I don’t know what other drivers will do and that scares me.
