  1. I’m so happy that you’re doing well now. But I’m so sorry over the deaths of your mother and grandmother. I was close to both my grandmothers and when they passed away in 2005 and 2013, it broke my heart. I still think of them every day. My mother is still here, but I know that when her time comes, it will be the worst kind of pain and I’ll feel lost.

Mom and I are so close and I can never tell her how much I appreciate her. I just make it a point to tell her that I DO appreciate her and that I DO love her every time I see her or talk to her on the phone.

Thank you so much for this post. My eyes are welling up and you really make me think. Really think. 🙂

    1. The death of my mom and grandmother at that time made me cry.
Now when I think of them I smile for all the things they did for me. I am so glad I was taught how to keep house, like laundry, etc.,
Thankful that my grandmother took the time to make me feel loved. She also taught how to make pies. My apple pie won first prize at our local fair.

      1. Oh, how sweet! I love to hear stories like these. I used to shell peas with my grandmother. I also used to play UNO, SKIPBO and Nertz with both my grandmothers! Such awesome times they were! And I think all grandmothers are the best cooks! Your prize was proof that she was a fantastic cook!
